Hiring Smooth Mooves Inc. for your upcoming move will make moving easy and stress-free.  Starting with an estimate (in person if desired) by the owner before your moving day, your experience will be simple and rewarding---with no surprises.

On moving day, we show up on time, with all the necessary tools and materials to get the job done right.  Please sit back and relax while your furniture and belongings are cared for as if they belonged to us. We pad wrap all furniture inside your home.  Mattresses and Box Springs will be wrapped in plastic then brought out to the truck.  We utilize best practices in order to get your belongings safely to their destination.

At your new location, our crew will position (and assemble!) every item as you wish.  We provide top-notch service. We believe that the first night in your new home should  be comfortable and relaxing.

Services Offered

Any move originating and ending  within 150 miles of Watertown, MA we consider to be  a local move.   We charge an hourly rate for these moves including travel time from Watertown and back.   The only additional charges would be for highway tolls and wrapping materials.  Visit our rates page for more information.

Local Mooves

Any move that originates or ends more than 150 miles from Watertown, MA is considered a long distance move. For these types of moves we calculate a flat rate prior to the move that includes everything  so there are no surprises.  We frequently move families and individuals to and from New York City, Washington DC and all of New England.

Long Distance Mooves

We are partnered with several large storage warehouses and can provide advice to help you find the right storage solutions to fit your needs.  We also provide overnight storage on our trucks for those who need it at a rate of $150 per truck.

Storage

Whether you need us to pack an entire household or just the fragile items we will bring all the necessary materials and carefully pack your items into the appropriate sized box.   We charge  the same hourly rate as our local moves plus the cost of materials.

We pull parking permits from the city of Boston, Brookline and Cambridge.  The cost is $75.oo and the signs are posted at least 2 days before your move.  If you wish to get the permits on your own let us know and we will give you an authorization letter.
